Neuron BPh awarded the V Premio Emprendedor XXI prize
The fifth edition of this regional award recognises this Granada company, which will participate in the final national phase with the other regional winners
The group Neuron BPh, which specialises in the development of biosolutions for the pharmaceutical, chemical, energy and agro-food industries, has been awarded the Premio Emprendedor XXI prize in the category Creces XXI (Growth XXI), which recognises companies from 2 to 7 years old, who after having solved the first development steps, have a growth plan with the potential to create wealth and employment for the region.
The Premio Emprendedor XXI awards, which are a regional project initiated by the Andalucian Regional Government and promoted to national level by La Caixa (a Spanish bank) and the Spanish National Innovation Company (ENISA) are aimed at the promotion and recognition of the development of new innovative companies and on the identification of the companies with the most potential growth rate in each region.
The winner was announced at the prize-giving ceremony, which took place on Friday, 29 April in the auditorium of the Caixa building in Seville, which was attended by representatives of the different institutions involved. The CEO of Neuron BPh, Javier Velasco received the prize on behalf of the company and thanked the organization for the recognition the company had received for its innovative effort, which will be a boost to continue working on the strategic policies established at the creation of Neuron BPh in 2006.
The prize awarded to Neuron BPh includes a grant for the ESADE and IESE designed “Executive Growth Program” course and the participation in the final national phase with the other regional winners.
The winning project in the final national phase in the category Creces XXI will be recognised as the company with the most potential growth rate in Spain. The prize giving ceremony will take place in June in the city of Barcelona.
In less than 5 years, Neuron BPh has become a reference business project in the Spanish biotech sector. Neuron BPh, which has a staff of 45 and numerous partnerships with leading companies in the pharma, energy and agro-food market, has been received a large number of national and international awards, such as the European Prize for the Best European Innovative Company awarded by the European Network of Centres for Innovative Businesses (EBN) and the Seal for Innovation, given by the Spanish Association of Science and Technology Parks, among others.
