The Bioengineering Processes Group of the University of Wageningen (Holland) has visited the installations of Neuron Bio.

Pre- and post-doctoral researchers together with professors of the prestigious Bioengineering Group of the University of Wageningen in Holland have visited the installations of Neuron Bio.

The group visited Neuron Bio’s pilot plant in the vicinity of the Granada Health-Sciences Technology Park to study the processes being developed by Neol Bio. The group were shown around the plant by José Luis Adrio, the scientific head of Neol Bio, and were particularly interested in the use of microorganisms to provide biosolutions for the biotechnology industry.

The aim of the visit was to explore the possibility of forging ties between the University of Wageningen and Neuron Bio in the light of the fact that this research group also specializes in the use of microalgae to develop applications and solutions that combine technical innovation and socio-economic values.

The group, headed by Dr. María Cuaresma, who is undertaking post-doctoral research at AlgaePARC, a research centre attached to the University of Wageningen, is currently visiting several Spanish cities and has chosen Granada as its last port of call with the express desire to get to know the Health-Sciences Park and specifically Neuron Bio and the Medina Foundation.
